Choosing a venue for your Barmitzvah or Batmitzvah can be a very difficult decision. It is a decision that is made early on in the planning and therefore it is important to get the venue that is going to suit your particular requirements.
The choice of venues is HUGE. Make no mistake you have a variety of different and unique venues available to you – whether you are in London, Essex, Manchester or elsewhere in the UK. There are so many hotels, restaurants, halls, golf clubs, barns and unique venues that are keen to attract your business. It is suggested to provisionally book approximately two years in advance to secure the venue you want.
Here is a checklist for you to consider when choosing the right venue:
- How many people are you inviting?
- Is the price affordable?
- Do they have kosher facilities?
- Is the location accessible?
- Is their sufficient parking for the guests?
- Can you use your own caterer or must you use the venue’s caterer?
- Is the stage big enough for your Band / DJ?
- What are the staff like – i.e. the banqueting team – are they supportive/flexible?
- Does the management understand how important this event is for you and your family?
- Have they hosted Barmitzvahs or Batmitzvahs before?
- Is the venue an interesting place for your party?
- What other amenities are available .i.e. LCD projector, Plasma Screen TV, Special Lighting?
- When will you have access to the venue?
The point about customer service is very important. It is essential that you have a co-ordinator or team who will reassure you and go the extra mile to ensure that you do not have to worry about any detail. When you meet a venue team their credibility will be based on their Barmitzvah and Batmitzvah experience and how personable they are to you.
There are also many unique and alternative venues for Barmitzvahs & Batmitzvahs – so do think outside of the box.
