Restaurants make great Barmitzvah and Batmitzvah Party Venues!

One of the important considerations when starting to plan a Barmitzvah or Batmitzvah after the ceremony is organised, is what venue to choose to have the party!  Should it be sit down, stand up, in town, local…. the choice is endless.  But what has been popular over the last few years, is hosting the party in a restaurant.

There are many benefits of hosting a Barmitzvah or Batmitzvah party in a restaurant.  There is a great variety to choose from, and whether you are looking for kosher food or a non-offensive menu, many restaurants are geared up for hosting Simchas.

Food is an important part of any Jewish celebration and with restaurants used to making and serving food, you can rest assured you and your guests will be well looked after, with fantastic food a plenty!  The restaurant would easily be able to prepare food in large numbers for your Barmitzvah or Batmitzvah and should be able to offer you a sit down service or buffet style.  You can expect a high standard of customer service as this is an integral part of their business.

Unlike a blank canvas venue where flowers and decoration are needed, a restaurant will already have carefully considered and planned their décor and have their own distinctive look.  This can include funky wall hangings, mirror walls, cool lighting and art in vivid colours.  It will be very cost effective to not need to decorate this type of venue, but remember, you must be happy with the décor already there.

Finally, the restaurant will have tables and chairs for your use – you will just need to ensure there is space for a dance floor, DJ, and any extra entertainment you may choose to provide, e.g., a photo booth.

So if you decide on a restaurant as the venue for your forthcoming Barmitzvah or Batmitzvah, you can rest assured that you will get a fabulous feast, a decorated venue and most importantly, a lot of the hassle will be eliminated as you get to work with experienced restauranteurs. And you will be able to focus your time on everything else!
